As a DTV TECh rep i come into this issue often I would go ahead and call set up new customer install and have the landlore and yourself of course there when tech first comes on site they will search for best line of site first and advise of best locations of the dish a pole mount will cost extra up to 75$ the tech can charge (may want to tell rep setting the install up that you perfer pole. When used in conjunction with the DIRECTV HR54 Genie DVR, the Mini Client delivers 4K, HD, and SD content to a 4K TV. If your Smart TV isn’t 4K-ready, upgrade it with the Genie Mini Client from Signal Connect. High-definition 4K programming requires a HDMI port that supports HDMI 2.0a and HDCP 2.2. You also need a high-speed HDMI cable to make the connection. Some Smart TVs already can handle the 4K signal.
